Ocean inspiration

So a few years ago I was inspired to try Acrylic pouring, this is a technique of mixing acrylic paint with a pouring medium (in my case I used liquitex, see the link at the bottom for details) and the results were stunning! That is when I first started an Etsy account back in 2017.....but no one bought any of my products, so I was defeated and gave up very quickly.

Here are some of the pieces I made back then

Not bad but I must have been doing something wrong, so I put all of my paints away and focused on other areas.

However it has always been in the back of my mind to try acrylic pouring again, and I’m so glad I didn’t throw anything away.

Here is my latest collection inspired by the sand and the ocean shore. I have used real sand within the polymer clay to create a realistic look of the beach. I then used the technique of acrylic pouring to create the look of the waves lapping against the shore.

It’s so messy and fun to do! There are so many videos on you tube to get you started, the hardest thing to do is waiting for them to dry!

Give it a go, I would love to see your results.
